It has too many small parts for a 3 year old. The hose does not stay on to the roller - i will need to glue it on to stick. There were no directions as to how to put it together. Also, some parts of the toy seemed flimsy (i.e., the bumpers) and I worry that they will break easily. For $50 i expected a lot more from this toy.

The item was of high quality, and had lots of interesting drawers, doors, even a fire hose on board. I would suggest to the designers to move the rear tires back a bit. My 3.5 year old nephew kept leaning on the back of the truck as he pushed it and the truck would rear up in the front, causing my nephew to fall. He loved the truck so much though that he'd get back up and keep going. Also, there were some small plastic pieces included that I could not identify. They appeared to be toy models of some foreign (perhaps German, since that's where the toy is made) fire fighting equipment. A manual of some sort showing you what those were for would have been nice. The fact that no one could identify those pieces results in the kids having another piece of plastic trash in their lives. Overall, the toy was a hit with my nephew and it gave me exactly what I wanted- to see him smile!

The fire engine appears sturdy. There are too many "tiny" non-connected pieces, surely to get lost soon. My grandson did like it.

I was disappointed in the quality of the fire truck. I did not give it as a gift. There were too many small parts and it was confusing what to do with them all. I am sending it back. (Note from Fat Brain Toys: A credit was dispatched to our customer for the Fire Engine Truck.)
