I was not expecting them to be too large, but they were smaller than I expected.

Samples are very small. I purchased them to donate to classes of my local elementary school. If the samples had been larger, it would be easier for smaller hands. At this scale, it is tough to tell shale from slate, or the limestone from the marble. If 5 is a conglomerate, I'll eat it. Disappointed! I am a geologist and I know the difference. Samples are so small, they will get lost on opening the package. My fingernails are bigger than these chips and more interesting.
