Make A Face

The magnetic face was very hard to cut out. If the item was die cut, it would be a breeze to punch out and use. I would not buy another product that hard to cut. I did like the face shapes and the plastic pieces that were used as the hair and beard. Overall, the concept is super, the colors are great, but I would rather have the shapes precut.

This is a really cute toy for young and older kids. It's kind of like Mr. Potato head but on the refrigerator or magnetic board. It also has a carry along magnetic sheet to take with you in the car or over to a friends. My son really likes making the different faces.

This purchase was for my 82 yr old mother who has late stage Alzheimer's. When she uses it, I lay out only a few of the features for her. For my mother, it has too many pieces and the pieces need to be simpler. I have a four year old granddaughter who enjoyed this toy very much. It kept her entertained for a long while.

I thought it was going to have less pieces, simpler, so I could show my 1 year old children the parts of the face. I like it though and my one year old enjoys looking at the faces though I don't let him play on his own because the pieces are too small. It will be great for him in a couple of years. Thanks!

Fun Product; Good Deal

Varied and colorful pieces! My 6 and 2 1/2 year old nieces both enjoyed this toy. The 2 1/2 year old enjoyed punching-out the pieces and putting them back into their original spots like a puzzle. The 6 year old was intrigued and spent a fair amount of time creating faces. Her constructive criticism was that "they should make the magnet board stronger," which is totally true. For such a colorful and unique activity, I would easily pay more for a stronger magnet "base". Good value for this perfect rainy-day or car-ride or quiet-nap time activity. Great for 1 or 2 kids, (auntie optional!)

I like this product for my patients to learn parts of the face. Since they are cartoon faces some of the pieces can be confusing as to what they are for the little kids I see. Other than that they seem to really enjoy playing with it.

Great fun! I am surrounded by metal in my cubicle at work. "Making faces" is sometimes the only fun part of my work day! Thanks!

The kids really enjoy the product; however, it would be nice if there were more than one board so two children could play at the same time.

I have purchsed one of these Make-A-Face magnetic boards before. It is great! There are little kids in the family that are absolutely crazy about it. As far as your service goes. It was great! I especially liked the shipment tracking info right up delivery. Thank you.

In general the product was fine. Some of the hair cut outs were missing color as though someone swiped a paper towel over the wet ink. (Note from Fat Brain Toys: Good News Susan! Better hair days for your magnet people are on the way. Our friends at Dowling Magnets are shipping you a replacement Make a Face - today!)

Service was good, I was notified when item was shipped, however; item is okay, but flimsier than I thought, and involved ME cutting it out and 'putting it together'.

My 3 yr. old granddaughter loved this!! The only problem was that we had bought it for a travel activity and did not realize that scissors were required to cut out the face outlines and the hair. She made faces w/o those parts, though, and really enjoyed it.

I bought this for a birthday party present, and I had a heck of a time keeping my 4-year-old and 2-year-old from opening it themselves. They were fascinated!

Make-A-Face

Bought the Make-A-Face for my 3-yr. old twin granddaughters. It's the perfect toy for them, as it combines their budding artistic creativity with magnets (which fascinate them). Previously, they enjoyed "changing faces" with the Mr. Potato Head toy, but the small parts got lost very quickly. With the Make-A-Face, they're able to keep the various magnets in the package.
