Deserving of more than 5 stars

I had numerous toy-level R/C vehicles when I was young, and I had been searching for a perfect R/C vehicle for our 3.5-year-old son. Why didn't someone think of this sooner? The Morphibians line is an outstanding way to get your little people driving. The designs are pleasantly rounded for little hands, yet the vehicles are sturdy enough to withstand just about anything that a toddler than throw at them. Ours has fallen down long flights of (carpeted) stairs, and served as an incidental stepping stool, and it still performs perfectly. The simple but effective controls are easy enough for a 2- or 3-year-old to understand, and the 4WD vehicle can climb over or 'bulldoze' most toys that may lie in its path. The tires offer traction without being physically abraisive, even when moving at full throttle. As a side note, the batteries are under a screwed-down, gasket-lined plastic plate, accessed from the top of the vehicle. This is the perfect R/C car for toddlers.

not made for grass

My 4 year old son really enjoys this toy --except that it does not go onthe grass at all. We even mowed the grass low but I think teh wheels are just not big enough. Other than that it is a great toy.

a great toy

This toy is perfect for young boys because they can handle fairly rough play. Our boys love them (ages 5 and 6).

My son who is 10 loved this toy. The only thing is that the controls are different than most radio control cars but once he was used to it. Off and running. This seems durable and well made. He even played with it in the bath tub (not submerging it and not getting the antenna wet) My daughter who is 5 loved it also. It was nice to be able to take this into a puddle. He has another remote control car that he is constantly being told by me "watch the water etc" He loved the fact he could barrel right into the puddles this time. Great product.

Excellent and fun toy. I wish the antenna plastic piece would screw or lock in. Lots of fun!

Sam's B.Day gift

MY 7 year old great cousin, Sam, loved the gift so much he called me on the phone to thank me and tell me all about it. He said he goes faster on the floor than the carpet and he cannot wait to take a bath to see it work underwater.

I bought the "Stingray" as a birthday gift for the 4 year old son of a friend after having a great experience with the "Shark" which my son received as a Christmas gift. After an easy initial set up (battery installation in the car and remote control, and inserting a plastic sheath over the antenna), the car was up and running. The knobs on the remote control are large enough to make them easy for his little hands to manipulate his first remote control car. A cool looking, fun and durable product.
