Great creativity-inducing toy!
Posted 24 days ago by Lauren L.

Rating:

The bilibo is made from REALLY durable plastic - stronger than I would have thought. I actually tried it out - took it for a spin, if you will - in my kitchen and it didn't even bend (this, from a 120 lb. woman). I haven't actually given it to the child who's birthday I bought it for, but I can't wait to see her face. I can tell that I'll need to be adding more of these to her toy library in the years to come. My discounting of one star is for the $30 price tag for a hunk of plastic - but it's a well designed hunk of plastic - so I'll take two!

Rating:

My two-year-old daughter instantly liked this toy, and is at that perfect age to explore all the ways it can be used. She is already having so much fun with it. As a parent I like the simplicity of it - no little parts to get lost or stepped on (ouch), all rounded edges and very well made. It's such a cool design and very innovative. I highly recommend this toy.

Fun Fun Fun!
Posted 5 days ago by Dona Nishi

Rating:

We have a 3 year old and 7 month old, so we're just at the beginning of learning how much fun the Bilibo will be, but it's been fun to spin in, use as a turtle shell, and to play with trains. My daughter saved the informational booklet to learn how other kids use it, so we're looking forward to many days of fun (especially once it snows!)

I bought this for my curious, energetic granddaughter for her first birthday. Her parents immediately placed her in it and all the adults and other children were greatly intrigued by this odd looking gift. I am sure she will find many ways to play and use this cute, colorful toy for many years to come.

Bilibo Chair in pink!

Rating:

LOVE this chair (or whatever my kids are using it as at the moment)! It's highly functional and sturdy! We even have adults sittting in it at times! It's a great toy and our OT recommended it for our little one but now each one of the kids has their own -- they don't like to share this toy! We have yellow and pink and the colors are amazing!

fun and imaginative!
Posted 12 days ago by Jill - mom of 2 boys

Rating:

I have 2 boys, ages 3 and 18 months. We have a bilibo and they just LOVE it! They use it for many things - to name a few: as a step to reach higher things, as a tunnel for trains and cars, in the kiddie pool, to carry stuff around, as a hat, to sit and spin in, to catch balls in when we throw them...it's endless! The Bilibo has turned into the gift that I give to children in our lives. People ask 'what is it, what do you do with it?' and the answer is, it's totally up to the kids! Best part, it doesn't take batteries!

roly poly fun

Great toy that can be used upright or upside down - younger kids better upsidedown as a climb over the mountain. rightside up can be too unsteady for young ones (under 18 months). Reminds us of the helmets in the movie spaceballs!

Bilibo
Posted 13 days ago by Carrie Marshall

Rating:

This is the most simple toy ever imaginable! It is just a shell! But as soon as my 2 and 5 year old saw it (I bought 1 for each) they knew exactly what to do! The imaginative ideas are endless. Some my children have done are: use it as a chair or flipped a mini stool, play in the pool w/ it, spin in it, play shell/turtle, make a smiley face by putting them together (2 bilibos), storage, my older son uses it as a fort for his army men-endless..... These are the most durable things ever made.-Don't buy a sit and spin-buy this! If you had girls it is a perfect baby doll bed-seat!

I have seen the product in shops and at Toy Fair in NYC this year and always wanted an excuse to buy one. Great item that features open-ended play and is very durable... it can be a sit-and-spin, a seat, a bucket, a helmet... whatever the kids wants it to be.

Super Fun Toy
Posted 8/5/2008 by Meg Hayes

Rating:

At first my boys (age 4 and 2) did not know what to think of this strange red thing but it did not take long for them to turn it into a chair, car ramp, mush mouth costume, stool for reaching the sink, basket to hold goggles - snorkel - beach towel! I love that it appears durrable enough to stand up to the rough and tumble play at my house.

We bought this toy for our daughter's first birthday with the intention that she would grow into it. So far, she likes to wear it as a huge hat! My son, who is 2 and 1/2 years old is using it nonstop. He loves to sit in it and have us spin him around. Yesterday he started using it as a podium/stage to do various performances. This morning it became a car seat! This toy is doing exactly what I had hoped... stimulated creativity. The bilibo's design leads to endless possibilities!! We are so pleased and will probably have to buy a second one!

I bought this as a gift for my niece that just turned 2. She uses it as a chair, rocker, cradle for a doll, a hat, a house for farm animal toys and a bowl to make "soup." This toy is great for kids to use their imagination. I am thinking of getting another at Christmas so she can put them together.

A Bilibo is Many Things
Posted 7/21/2008 by Jenn

Rating:

A hat, a sled, a spinner, a grocery cart, a stepping stone, a target, a boat, a jumping-off place... all these and more. We have two full size Bilibos and six minis in my house; combine with 4 and 2 year old kids, and you get tons of fun! We play with them daily, take the minis to the pool (they float really well, and spin and scoop perfectly for water or sand play), and in general totally LOVE the Bilibos! This is an awesome creative-play toy!

I purchased the Bilibo for my grandson's 2nd birthday last weekend. He's partial to the color orange, so its appearance was an instant hit! Spinning, climbing, hiding, a vessel for treasures, peeking through the holes.....he's still finding new ways to play with his bilibo.

My son is 18 months old and has not yet engaged play in the Bilibo. He looks at it and bangs on it like a drum, but was a little apprehensive when we put him in it to spin. Ironically, he loves a sit and spin. This is just a different approach to spinning I guess. I'm not concerned though. I'm sure in a few months he will love the Bilibo. Just a note, my oldest son, 17 years, and his friends have enjoyed trying to fit in the Bilibo and spinning.

Unbelievable the quality of this product is real. Purchased for my 2 1/2 year old daughter and she loves it. Her creativity was amazing, her immediate curiosity was to ask questions, she played the entire day on and off and continues to use it in so many ways. She uses it to read, as her podium, her princess castle, with her babies, turtle, in the bath, in the lake absolutely wonderful product. I actually have been looking at this since Christmas and finally purchased it in July, I can honestly say that it is one of the best purchases we have made and will purchase another. Also have the mini's they are great.

Creative fun for everyone!
Posted 7/11/2008 by Heather

Rating:

I recently purchased 4 bilibos for my children-ages 5, 4, 2 and 2. It is rare to find a toy that all ages can enjoy, but the bilibo is just that! Some of the uses we've discovered are doll cradle, stepping "stones", turtle shell, car tunnel, cat bed, and the kids just keep finding new uses each day. My 5-year old and 4-year old love to spin inside the bilibo and can get going very fast. My 2-year olds don't have the balance to be able to spin on their own but they enjoy it when I slowly spin them around. A great feature is that the bilibos stack neatly into each other so they don't take up much space. Everyone who sees them asks where we bought them and are intrigued by this strange new toy. My kids love them and I love that it encourages them to be imaginitive and creative.

My rating of bilibo

Rating:

I bought the Bilibo for my two older grandsons (ages 4 and 2) to use at my house during a recent visit. I was disappointed by their lack of interest in it. They both sat in it but couldn't get it to do anything but tip over. It ended up serving as a toy box. In all fairness, there were other interesting things to do, and if their visit had been longer they eventually might have investigated the Bilibo more.

I did purchase this as a gift, but I let my 3 year old daughter play with it for a few days before I put it away. We are planning on getting her on for Christmas so I wanted to see how she liked it. She loved it! The minute I took it out of the box she gasped and said "what's that?" She then sat in it, wore it as a hat, put the new kitten in it, stood on it and did a ballerina pose, had daddy spin her in it and just sat and rocked in it. She played for about 2 hours straight. It is constructed very well, my husband stood on it to see how much weight it would hold and without bending AT ALL it holds 220lbs. I love this product and I'm going to be buying at least 3 more by christmas.

What a wonderful toy to help tap into children's creativity and imagination! My 4 and 6 year old boys took to their Bilibos immediately. They pretended they were turtle shells, helmets, spinning tops, revolving seats, bowls, etc. with no prompting from me. They have learned they can keep their favorite toys in them, use them as car garages, put their stuffed animals in them and pretend they are feeding them, etc. My boys were very excited to know that I purchased the mini Bilibos for my 6 mo. old daughter. They like showing her how she can use it for her toys when she is old enough. Right now it is one of her favorite teething toys. The Bilibo is the catalyst that sparks imagination and creativity!

I work with preschoolers who have special needs and found this toy to be an instant hit. The kids had to ask for help to learn how to spin but if they kept trying they were able to do it on their own. Very rewarding. I got tons of eye contact by putting it on my head or their head! I learned about the toy at the end of the school year, so my students did not have long to explore with it. I am looking forward to how it will motivate my students next year.

My husband and I bought this product for our 4 year old daughter. At first, she wanted us to tell her what to do with it. However, it wasn't long before her imagination took over. It is so fun to watch her come up with different ways to play with the Bilibo. Anything from spinning in it to using it as a stage when she has something "important" to say. She has only had it a week, but it has already made it's way to the top of her toy list!

I ordered one of these for each of my two grandchildren, ages 2 and 4. They were at my house on the day the Bilibos arrived. We tore into the box. Instead of having to drag them away from wanting to play in the box, they immediately started playing with the Bilibos. Hats, chairs, boats, you name it and they pretended that the Bilibos were it. Then I tied a rope through the holes and took turns pulling them around my house until I was panting! What fun we had. A wonderful way to stimulate their imaginations!

My 4 year old has a sensory processing disorder. The movement that this toy provides simulates that of swinging on a tire hanging from a tree. This helps in some sensory perception issues that my son experiences. He has only had this for about a week, but so far he loves it. He loves to sit and spin around in it, which is exactly the reason I bought it. All the other benefits of this toy are just a bonus. My 3 year old loves it, too. This is the coolest thing! My husband thought I was crazy when I explained it to him, before it arrived and then after as well. However, it is honestly one of the most played with toys my son recieved. He is on the autism spectrum. While he is 6 years old (close to the end of the age range of this product), I do not see him putting it away anytime soon. It is used as a bucket. He also uses it as a monster truck. He can turn it into a tunnel for everything. Sometimes he just sits in it while playing. We are very pleased. It is more than just a "bowl" as my family implied!

The bilibo seemed like a fun idea. My son hasn't been as creative with it as I expected, but he likes it! He likes to sit in it and spin around in a circle. He also likes to peek through the two holes. If I had known how he would play with it, I would not have purchased it.

Requires An Imaginative Child

The bilibo seems to be well made and enjoyed by my 2 year old rambunctious niece. My 2 1/2 old could care less about hers, but my 7 1/2 year old is more like her cousin and she loves it!

I purchased Bilibos for my grandchildren (ages 4, 2, 2, and 10 months). I had a feeling that they would be a fun and creative interactive toy. After you have been a grandparent for awhile, you become numb trying to find fun, stimulating toys that don't make obnoxious sounds, aren't made of cheap plastic, and deserve a place in your grandchildren's playroom. I was so excited for their responses and to watch their little minds devise new activities!

My daughter loves her Bilibo because it is so versatile. It doesn't have much spin control on hardwood floors, but fabulous spin fun on area rugs!

Great Product. Love it

This product is so great. It's built for the child to sit on it, sit in it, spin in it, use it as a hat, put toys in it, roll balls in it, hide things under it, the list goes on and on. My 6 year old and 22 month old both love it. There are endless options of creative play with this toy. It's all up to the imagination. I think we'll have it around a long long time. (A lot longer than electronic toys that have already been cast aside.)

We love the Bilibo! My 18 month and 5 year old sit and play in them all the time. My husband actually sat and played in them after the kids went to bed, he wants one in an adult size. I recommend them to anyone who has young kids. They are great!

My son has had fun playing with this toy. We use it to spin and slide across the carpet. We have also used it as a ramp for trucks and a seat for stuffed animals. I really like the open-ended, creative play this toy offers.

My kids haven't even touched the Bilibo. I thought they would love it. They are ages 18 months and 4 1/2. I put it in the middle of the room and they play with everything but it.

Disappointed

I had a plastic seat when I was a kid and my mom still has it - I'm 42! All the kids sit in it and spin. When I saw the Bilibo I thought it was similar and was quite excited, plus it had all those great reviews. I think it stinks. Neither of my children played with it for more than 30 seconds. It doesn't function the way I expected but regardless of that - the kids don't find it interesting or fun. We are planning on returning both Bilibos we purchased.

For The Kid Who Has Everything Or Nothing!

I gave this toy to each of my kids and my 2 nephews. I was concerned that it might be a flop, but my 3 year old immediately turned it over and started spinning in it! Then my 1 year old did the same thing (with my help) and they laughed for an hour. Now they have played with them every day and have found alternate things to do with it. I love Bilibo - no lights, no batteries, and they are bigger then I expected because I think the kids in the pictures must be older than my 3 year old. I would imagine that an even older kids would find even more things to do with it. Bilibos also seem to be very strong. Highly recommended.

Fantastic product- really the perfect open-ended toy! The toy was well-represented. I had enough information to feel confident that it was what I wanted.

My 2 year old was intrigued right away. He put it on his head and used it to collect toys. My 5 year old really likes it too. He sits and spins in it, and has used it outside in the snow.

Review for bilibo

The pink one was given to my 2 yr old niece (with brothers, ages 4, 6 & 8). They did not show the slightest interest in it, maybe because of the color. My niece did not really seem to want to play with it; however, I could not keep my 2.5 yr old daughter away from it! She put her dolls in it - dragged them all over the house in it - rocked them (she has an actual baby cradle, but chose to put her babies in the Bilibo!) and she kept trying to sit in it. She is delighted with her yellow Bilibo. She is sitting in it, and giving spin rides to all her dollies and animals. When I put it on my head, it scares her a bit, but she is still very small.

Bilibo is Fun!

My 10 year old loves to spin. It is only recommended for kids younger and smaller than her, but it is working out great (I can even fit in it and go for a spin!). This toy is much more fun than a Sit and Spin, is smaller to have around and has more play-ability than the Sit and Spin. All of my kids are really enjoying it!

Bilibo Seat

Being a plastic engineer myself, I'm always interested in how plastic products are designed and made. This toy is very well designed and manufactured. My daughter is just over two years old. So far she has used the seat as a baby bed, a helmet, and as a "hill" to climb, balance and jump from. She is a very busy kid, so the physical activities she's been doing with the seat have been great fun.

My granddaughter at first said, "What is this?" I told her it's a toy to use in any way she'd like. She started by standing in it and rocking back and forth. Next she sat in it and rocked. After a while she turned it over and stood on it with one leg in a bent leg position like a heron. After I noticed it with her other gifts in it. And still later she sat in it reading her book. She's 7 but her 2 year old brother and 5 year old sister were just as inventive with their Bilibos. We did supervise the 2 year old. A great toy, just as I had read it would be.

My rating of bilibo

Bilbo is an unqualified hit! Every child and nearly every grown-up at the party wanted to try it out. Sit in it. Stand on it. Wear it as a hat. My daughter plans to order a second one for my grandson to "keep the first one company." Will 2 Bilbos be twice as much fun as one?

My son loves this toy! He is only 18 months old, but he already spins himself around in it, climbs on it, & uses it to carry around other toys. My husband & I have had fun playing with it too. I can't wait to get some mini ones!
