Happy Hippo Pull Toy - Great!

Great toy for my 11 month old. Nice construction and it isn't "Made in China!" She pulled the cord right away. Once she starts walking, I imagine she will really enjoy it!

This is a very cute and well-made toy. The colors are vibrant and the finish is great. The string and ears are well affixed and the mechanism works well. (Better on hardwood where the rubber can grip, on carpet the chomping mechanism doesn't work consistently.)

I have twin 1 year old boys. For their birthday, I bought the happy hippo pull toy and the frog pull toy. My boys are both vey interested in the hippo. I think it may be the contrast of the dark blue with the white teeth. They also like the motion and sound the mouth makes as it shuts.

Very cute and well made. Wide base helps to keep the toy from tipping over like so many other pull toys. The long string is great. I bought this for my one-year old son, who loves pulling it around the house - my three-year old also likes to play with it.

My son loves pulling and pushing toys so I thought he might like this toy. Boy was I right! He'll pull the hippo all around the house. He really likes the clacking noise the jaws make when they close!

We gave my son the hippo for his 1st birthday and he loves it! He's just started to really enjoy pull toys and I think the clicking noise of the mouth is what he loves. I really like the simplicity of the toy.

I really like this toy. My 1 yr old son isn't too intrigued by it yet, but it'll be there as he gets older and I hope he'll start pulling it around then. It's well made and works well, and the colors are bright and fun. I'm glad I got this toy.

It didn't pull very easy. Although the mouth moved up and down, it wasn't obvious, at least not obvious enough for a 1 year old. I was hoping it would make more noise, a clacking or something. It was too quiet. Frankly, my one year old granddaughter doesn't want anything to do with it. Bright and sturdy but loud

I bought this as a therapy toy for our 10 month old daughter who is recovering from her third open heart surgery. We sit behind her and pull the toy towards her and make our own crescendo. She loves the anticipation of the movement and the reward of grabbing the hippo. We picked this particular toy because of the bright colors, the open-close mouth, and the sturdy construction. All great aspects. But it has a very very loud squeak and she doesn't do well with loud noises (another reason we avoided any toy with lights and sounds). I think we can fix it but until then we have to pull it very slowly. So if we stop the squeak, I would highly recommend this toy.
Hippo made niece happy

Bought this for my niece for her 1st birthday. She immediately went for the string and began trying to pull the toy along. It wasn't long & she was joyfully pulling it behind her as she toddled around the house. My sister-in-law said "this is a REALLY good gift, really. Thanks so much!" What a hit.

My 9th month old daughter doesn't have the "pull the string" concept down yet, but likes to roll the hippo back and forth and enjoys the "chopping" motion.
