A great toy, well worth the cost.
A couple years ago I was given a plasmacar as a gift for my older daughter who was 3 at the time and she's loved it ever since. My younger daughter who just turned 2 figured out how to ride it a couple months back and they've been fighting over it ever since. So we got her a new one through FBT.com and they ride them together almost every day. Even my wife & I have been known to race them around the garage sometimes...

Great toy for limited space

The plasma car is great in the aspect of quality/durability and my kids love it with one exception -- it is very slow. It is made well enough that someone up to 220 lbs can ride it on a smooth surface (which I did). If your kids are expecting something that moves faster using the "turning motion" than if they used their legs to push, then this is not for them.

This is an outstanding toy. 2-year old & 5-year old spend hours on it most days. We even have a 1-year old that loves to ride on it, especially if someone older is on with her. Keep the wheels clear of grit, etc. or something abrasive may get embedded & make marks on hardwood.

We got the Plasma Car for our daughter's 3rd birthday and it was a hit! She loves it and figured out how to make it go in about 3 seconds! She get s work-out and has a blast.

My son tried this car at a friend's house and loved it. Its a great toy, and a different kind of ride-on toy than others he has. He's almost 6 and weighs 45 lbs. and can really make it go well. I admit my 13 year old daughter and I are guilty of trying it too. Lots of fun, highly recommend for active kids.

We love this toy... when I say we I mean Mommy, Daddy, and our two year old daughter. We have family races which are totally hysterical! As a family we always erupt in laughter when playing with our PlasmaCar! We have enjoyed our purchase so much that we are purchasing another one as a birthday gift for our goddaughter. The Plasma car was easy to assemble and my girls (ages 5 and 8) are on Cloud 9. It definitely works best on solid surfaces, even outdoor carpet is tough to roll on.

I bought a Plasma car for my son's 4th birthday and he absolutely loves it. He hasn't quite gotten the hang of steering it to make it go so he just pushes with his feet. His cousins have two Plasma cars and the three kids always fight over who will ride them.
I have to say, they're fun for adults too!

The Plasma car is a great bike! My little one scoots right along on it using her feet... she is still working on the arm motion. The older kids in the neighborhood are also enjoying it. It is very sturdy and versitile.

My kids (22 month and 5 yr old) just love it.
I would recommend it with my eyes shut, the only thing is that it works better in smooth surfaces, just to take that into account.

Product looks great and is sturdy, but it definitely has more of a learning curve than we had expected! As other reviews have stated, the surface does need to be flat and pretty smooth. It doesn't do well on blacktop. I think that it's great that the child has to think and problem solve to make it work. Just be prepared, if you get it for a younger child, to keep encouraging them to use it and try it as my daughter gets frustrated and wants to quit. Once it gets going, though, it's fun!

We now own four plasma cars for our children ranging in age from two to eight. It is the one toy they all consistently play with each day. Even I enjoy a ride now and then. They ride the plasma cars on our concrete patio, the driveway and the sidewalk. The littlest, uses his feet to push himself along, but the others all use the plasma cars correctly. Our neighbors have also purchased plasma cars, after seeing the enjoyment our family has received from them. The cars are durable and easy to use. Our cars have been left outside occasionally and the wear has been unnoticeable. The sun has not faded the color or caused any problems. In summary, this is a purchase you won't be disappointed about. Just be sure to buy enough for each child to have their own car - they won't want to get off to share!

At first when my husband put it together, I thought it was going to be stupid. But both my 3 and 6 year old boys have fun on it. Mom, dad, grandma and the kids at my sons birthday party all took their turn on it to. Would recommend.

PlasmaCar is fun and easy, but our kids have yet to get into it. Our driveway slopes a teeny tiny bit yet going uphill is frustrating for them. I didn't even know our driveway was not level until riding this thing. But it's fun. When I ride it (185 pounds), the wheels lose traction a bit on our driveway, so it's tricky to build up speed.

My grandson wanted this because his friend had one. He was absolutely thrilled to get it. Unfortunately it didn't go together as smoothly as it should and the front wheel was not smooth so it was not easy to manuver. Fortunately - his father has the patience of a saint and lets nothing ruffle him. He planed the front wheel and now it works beautifully. The other one I bought will also be a gift but not till August. It does seem to be a great toy and provides hours of fun.

This is a unique riding toy. I believe it's more appropiate for basements than driveways. But watch out for even slight inclines. It is so well designed that it will fly downhill to give Dad an extra workout.

The car does everything it promises. My son was able to figure out how to get it moving very easily. It was a little difficult to attach the steering wheel tightly enough while keeping the wheels straight. Once I got the steering wheel tight enough, it worked wonderfully.

This product is amazing. The PlasmaCar was for an eight year old, and he loves it. I must add that it is great for all ages. I have seen a 2 1/2 year old on it, and he can move. It is also great for adults to. I have even taken it for a spin and it is FUN. I would really recommend thus product and I hope you will like it as much as we have.

This is such a great toy! My seven year old loves to ride it in the house and to my surprise my ten year old will too! I like the fact that it takes some physical effort to propel the car but that it will not reach or exceed destructive speeds that boys desire. When the weather outside isn't cooperating, this toy does wonders to occupy my boys.

My son rides on his cousins' plasma cars all the time, so we are surprising him with his own later this month for his 5th Birthday!
We told his big sisters about the present and now they want their own too!
Great toy for kids to power on their own! No batteries to charge!

I bought this for my 3 year old nephew's birthday. This was by far his favorite toy that he received. But all of us adults were sneaking in rides on it. The adults enjoyed it so much that I think we're going to buy a couple more for racing each other!!!

I bought these cars formy sons birthday. They turned 5 and 7! The both love them and so did all their friends. They spent hours at the party racing up and down the driveway.

This is my very favorite grandchild toy. I keep these at my house so the kids have a special treat at Nana & Papa's house.
My kiddos range fron ages 22 years to 6 months(he will be on one next summer).By the way we have 11 grandchildren. My grown (parents) children also love these!

This is a great toy for the tots. My 20 month old has been playing on his cousins' plasma cars until we finally got him one this week. He uses his feet to propel the car and has yet to use the wheel exclusively but it entertains him. The beauty of the car is that it does not require batteries and the big kids (ie mom and dad) can enjoy it too!

Ok, so this is a bit small for an adult 50 something, but I couldn't resist. Neither could my 18 year old daughter. In fact I may have to get one for her so she can ride with my 4 year old grandchild.
In any case the toy is great fun. It is well made and looks heavy enough to last for years of use. It is easy to put together, taking only a few minutes.
It's maneuverability makes it the perfect riding toy for indoors.
The only suggestion I can think of is a bigger model for bigger kids!

I actually ordered this for my mother (my child's grandmother). My 3 year old who is a nightmare in groups because he wanders and is curious, actually stayed with the adults and the crowd because he refused to get off of this toy - which I had never seen - for 2 straight hours.
Anything that occupies him gets ordered.

My daughter will use this for many years. The PlasmaCar is very sturdy and such a deal. After receiving it, I would of easily paid twice the amount for it. Don't hesitate, your kids will
scoot on this and take turns pushing each other on it. I would of loved to have such a

My family, my husband & I included, love this "car". It is so much fun and so easy to use that my 2 yr old grasped the concept of it right out of the box. Very easy to put together although one of the back wheels was a bit of a tight fit. I have not taken the PlasmaCar out of our house yet so I can not rate how it handles on the road. My children [6,2,9 months] use it on our Laminate "hardwood" floors. It definitely deserves the Platinum Best Toy Award that it was given. The only problem I see is that I only have one :)

The plasma car has now been ridden inside/outside on Concrete, Asphalt, Grass, Tile, Laminate, Rug etc...I completely stand by my first review on how wonderful this toy is. I do have to say however the tread on the wheels do not catch well on smooth floors so sometimes it can be a hassle getting the steering wheel to turn the wheels. My kids still LOVE the toy and use it whenever they can. All three have ridden it together they love taking each other for rides. It really is a great product and has held up VERY WELL against my very destructive children.

Also, as a Mother of a "big" 6 year old boy, I love that that it doesn't matter how tall you are. Also, with it's weight capacity Mommy can have fun too!

My kids, 7 and 10, love the PlasmaCars. I still think they are a bit pricey, but they have been enjoying them daily. My 14 year old also has been on them. My sloped driveway is a plus, and I believe they have more fun with a hill, but recommend the cars.

The PlasmaCar works great on our kitchen floor. Our kids have been having fun riding around me while I cook. It is also great fun on rainy days when they can't ride their bikes outside.
I bought the PlasmaCar planning to use it outside, but it does not work well on our asphalt driveway.

The car is easy to assemble and can be ridden by adults too! I ordered several for our entire family to enjoy. Make sure you tighten the steering wheel as much as possible though. I would definitely recommend this product.

I think the plasma car is a great gift for children of all ages. i bought i for a two year old and it is being enjoyed by him and his 9 and 16 year old siblings as well as his parents who take a spin around the kitchen. Well, I was so excited about giving this to my five year old for his birthday, but we could never get it to work correctly. It seems like the front tire is not aligned correctly with the steering wheel, and one of the back tires keeps coming off. Such a bummer because he was really excited and interested as was his older brother. I am planning on calling to discuss options for returning it this week.

My 5 year old loves this toy. He just got it so I dont know about long term use, but he can use it in the house on the hardwoods and outside. The best thing is the ground doesnt have to be perfectly level so he doesnt get frustrated riding it.

I ordered the PlasmaCar on Thursday from Fat Brain Toys and it came the following Monday! We were thrilled that it came so fast! Our little 5 year old absolutely loves the car. It was easy to assemble and our little one was zipping all over the driveway in a matter of minutes! It's definitely worth the money and Fat Brain Toys offers it at a good price. I would recommend it to anyone with young children.

We love the plasma car - we're probably going to have to get another one because it's so great. What was I thinking - one cool car for two boys?! Very easy to assemble. I have no idea how it moves just by wiggling the steering wheel, but it's really fun and the ride is super smooth.

This is the second one we've bought (two grandchildren!) and the product is very well constructed, cleverly engineered, and a great joy to our grandkids who are experts at racing around the house together. Beyond the interesting design, the engineering is always baffling to others. This product requires no batteries, recharging, winding up or nuclear power. It works so well it needs to be translated to adult size so I can commute to work on one.

We absolutely loved the pink plasma car we ordered. Fat Brain Toys was by far the cheapest, and the shipping was super fast. We ordered it one day then had it like 2 days later! Back to the plasma car, my husband and I liked it so much, we gave it to our little girl a week before her birthday, because we were hving so much fun with it!

My 8 year old is very excited with the car. Initially I had the wide tires in front so it did not move at all. I then put the small tires in front and it goes, but not very fast. I tried it, and not having the energy of a child, could not get it moving. In fairness to the car, the pavement we tried it on is a little rough. I am looking forward to going to a location where the cement is smooth and level.

The PlasmaCar is great. Our 4 year old and our 2 year old can both use it. They have both learned to use it correctly with their feet up, but also really enjoy just racing them down the driveway. Our 2 year old could propell it using his just his feet at first, but it worked well has a "ride-on" car for him until he learned the correct way - he is too tall for many "ride-on" toddler toys. The car moves very smoothly.
Our only complaint is that the assembly can be tricky. We had trouble getting the stearing wheel in correctly - the screws would not tighten.

the kids love it! My 2 year old son especially loves it, since he hasnt quite gotten the hang of pedalling yet. My 5 year old daughter also plays on it since it's very easy. I play on it too. It doesnt go very fast for a speed demon like me, but the kids do love it!

I bought this for my daughter for her birthday after seeing it at a local children's store. My daughter loves it as much now as when she spent an hour riding around on it at the store. I've had several adults take a look at it to see how it works and they always end up trying it out. It was very easy to put together and shipping was very prompt and free! This was my first order from this site but not my last.

I bought this toy for my 2-year old son. He likes to sit on it but does not like to put his feet up. My 8-year old daughter LOVES this toy and is nice because she stays on our driveway so I can watch both kids. Hopefully, my 2-year old son can watch & learn from his big sis so he can join the fun in using the plasma car. Thanks!

I purchased a Plasma Car for one of my two grandchildren for Christmas thniking it would not be used much. Both grandchildren loved it so much, it was necessary to purchase a second one so each child could have one. The cars held up to more severe treatment than the Samsonite suitcase experienced with the gorilla in the old commercial on TV. Alas, the kids were able to break one wheel off one of the cars. It will need to be repaired soon! The only complaint I had with the design is that the steering mechanisn would loosen and would need to be retightened frequently.

This toy has the best of everything. It's good exercise and a great source of fun. My three year old son spent 2 hours on it the first day he got it and I had a hard time tearing it away from him. It takes a little while to get the hang of it but well worth it. I highly recommend this toy to anyone who dislikes battery operated toys. I bought two others as gifts for family members.

My son who is 6 rides one of these everytime we are at a toy store at the Mall. They are $69.99 at this store so I got online to see if I could find them cheaper. I did find it cheaper and decided to order one for him. I also do daycare in my home so I knew it would be used. My son and the daycare kids have ridden it inside and out everyday since it got here. They love it! It's nice to see them use something that is all kid-powered.

We bought the plasma car for our 2-year old daughter. She hasn't figured out how to twist the wheel back and forth yet, but instead uses her feet to get her where she wants to go. Our 4-year old, on the other hand, is a pro. The product is safe, unique and most of all reasonably priced. I see our whole family using this toy and would recommend it to anyone.

Perfect size for a 5 year old, a 9 year old was interested but at 5 ft tall je felt he was too scrunched up. (It still didn't prevent him from driving it around and racing his brother for about 2 hours). To further test the size and weight limitations, a 6 ft adult weight about 150 lbs did not have any dificulty in driving it around. In putting it together, my husband felt it was a little difficult to get the pieces together. If you try to go too fast and make a turn, like all boys will do, it will tip over. I have recommended this product to other people already.

This is truly a fun toy. We purchased it for our 6 yr. old granddaughter's birthday. Everyone at the party took turns riding it and loved it. I'm quite certain a few more were ordered after the party!!! I personally ordered 4 more for some friends at work to give to their grandchildren.... It's been a big hit. It's a great toy at a great price.

This is a very cool toy. No batteries needed...just human power. It was a huge hit at our granddaughter's birthday -- everyone wanted to ride it including their parents!
The only negative...the bolt that goes through the steering wheel came loose more than once and had to be tightened.

My 2 year loves this because he can reach nor master using the pedals on his tricycle yet. But this gives him the ability to go with the other kids without frustration. And the fact that it states it can hold 200 lbs. means he will hopefully get years of fun out of it.

My three- and six-year old grandchildren enjoyed riding this car a lot. So did their mother and grandmother! It was easy to learn to maneuver the car, and the ride was quite thrilling on a grade. My only qualification at this point is the difficulty of assembly. It was more than I could manage (a 60-plus grandmother), and the person who put it together for me did not get the three riding wheels quite level with each other. This did not seem to affect the ride.

The children that I bought this for are really enjoying it. I appreciate how quick the turnaround was from ordering to arrival. This is my first experience with Fat Brain Toys and I am very happy.

This order would be our fourth purchase of the Plasma Car. First, FB Toys had the most competitive price. Second, the shipping was free and the cars were shipped to us within a few days. What a deal for free shipping. Third, we could not say anything more wonderful about these little cars. They are so much fun. We have a 2, 4 and 15 year old and all of the kids just love them. The fourth car is for me! As a family, we have so much fun it is just amazing. My husband even gets on every once in a while. The only problem we have had is the steering getting loose. It seems that every car has loosened at least twice, after that, never again!
I highly recommend these toys. My kids are on them before and after school. We have never walked through the garage without someone getting on these cars.
So much fun!

This product has been a lot of fun for my kids and their cousins (7 children total). Their ages range from 2 to 10 and, honestly, they all love these cars! They work well inside on our concrete and wood floors and outside on the driveway.

My 2.5 year old son is in LOVE with his new PlasmaCar. We can barely get him off of it at the end of the day. He mostly scoots it with his feet right now, and loves that he can get up some pretty good dare-devil speed in our driveway. His 2 year old cousin got hers on the same day, and they've been having a blast together ever since. The cars were easy to assemble, are sturdy, and seem like they will go the distance (but it's only been 3 days!). Few tipovers, and those few times there have been no serious injuries!

This is a must for your little one. After my 3 year old received one for his birthday, my 18 month old would not stay off of it, in spite of having several other ride on toys. The answer was to get her one too, she loves it as well as all of their friends who come over.

Easy to put together and very sturdy build.
Our daughter loved the Plasma car when visiting a friend. She loves it even more when we surprised her with her very own. We (adults) also take it for a spin from time to time.

Very easy to steer and maneuver. Our 19 month old son loves to go forward, backward and side to side with feet up or down.

I have a a two year old boy and a four year old boy. I am always looking for ways to help them burn energy. This car has done it! They love it! I often get on with both of the boys am amazed at how sturdy and stable the car is. It is worth every penny!
