"This set is not completely what I had expected when I ordered the product. The pieces are very pliable - I was under the impression that they were a harder plastic material and that they fit together with a snapping mechanism. Instead, they link together in a kind of weaving fashion. This is great for enhancing fine motor skills and building hand strength. I ordered it for my 3 1/2 year old thinking that he'd be able to assemble the pictures, as he is quite advanced in his puzzle skils but lacks in fine motor development. He is unable to master the "weaving" motion at this point, but can make chains (which we use to make other things) and can take the larger assembled pieces apart. I look forward to using this kit for many years to come as his skills continue to develop. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this product!"
