Very Basic Kit

Rating:
The kit consists of items that can be obtained at a hardware store. Only the book may be considered special. The set was not worth the money in my opinion.

We purchased this kit when my 10 year old son decided to build a model mag lev ski lift as part of a science camp he was taking. This was a fun project for us and assembled in two days. The hardest part was cementing the magnet strips. One note:we did substitute our own length of wood (which we happened to have on hand) in place of the blocks provided, just because it was easier and seemed sturdier for our use. The final project was a big hit with his classmate. He also enjoyed playing with the other magnets in the kit.
