Our six year old daughters love gardens and fairies. At first they seemed to really enjoy the gift and couldn't wait to assemble it. It seemed easy to assemble and the enjoyment lasted a few days, however the directions said that we didn't need to water it for a month or so and we didn't, but the sprouts seemed to have already died. Next time would stay on top of watering. (Note from Fat Brain Toys: Good news takes root. At our request, DuneCraft will immediately send replacement seeds to this customer.)

My 5 year old daughter loves this terrarium. She took it with her to daycare, where they worked on it as a group, and they are watching the sprouts come up daily. It took only from planting on Friday to a Monday afternoon for it to start growing. It is a perfect way to pass the time before the late planting season here in chilly New Hampshire begins, and she and her daddy can start the real gardening outside.

The fairy is tiny. The decorations are minimal. You're better off going to a green house and buying a planter, soil and the herbs already started.
