Fairy Terrarium

My 5 year old daughter loves this terrarium. She took it with her to daycare, where they worked on it as a group, and they are watching the sprouts come up daily. It took only from planting on Friday to a Monday afternoon for it to start growing. It is a perfect way to pass the time before the late planting season here in chilly New Hampshire begins, and she and her daddy can start the real gardening outside.

The fairy is tiny. The decorations are minimal. You're better off going to a green house and buying a planter, soil and the herbs already started.

My daughter was thrilled to get this present. She really enjoyed planting the seeds and making a path in the garden for the fairies. We are still waiting for the seeds to sprout, but it has only been two days. I was not pleased with the plastic fairy that came in the box. It was all purple and not like the picture on the box. Also, the decals weren't included. (Note from Fat Brain Toys: A new fairy is in flight & decals are on the way, courtesy of the manufacturer, Dunecraft.)
