I think this is a great way for young children to learn their rhyming words. I think that the pictures are GREAT!

My 4-year old loves this game and has asked several times since we got it to play it (unlike many toys/games we get that she tires of after just one time playing with them). She is just learning to read, so I cover up the picture and let her try to sound out the word on each card. She is so excited when she gets it right and I reveal the picture, then she gets to find the rhyming word. Once she puts the rhyming words together, I encourage her to come up with a sentence using both words. That might be her favorite part of all! This game definitely encourages creativity and learning. The only drawback is that the cards that match with rhyming words are also the same color, so before too long, she's going to figure that out and stop looking for the words and just pick the match based on color. But we plan to get a lot of enjoyment and learning out of this game until that time comes. Overall, a great, stimulating game for preschool kids.

My 4 year old daughter is having a blast matching these two piece puzzles. She is just beginning to read a few words and this is a great emerging literacy activity for her. I like the sturdiness of the pieces. I can tell they will hold up for a long time.
