I bought the Wedgits Deluxe set for a 4-year-old great nephew. It is something out of the ordinary, not just blocks, and offers a lot more variety of things to do with them. At the same time, I ordered a Travel Set for my grandson, who is also 4, and a Starter Set for his little brother, who is almost 3. What a great way to provide birthday presents for 3 little boys. I will probably add each set as the boys grow and use the Wedgits for more mature uses.

This is a good toy to teach visual spatial skills and planning. I use them in my learning center. The students like it and it is a good teaching tool.

I think the wedgits are an original toy. My son son is diagnosed with PDD (Autism) and to expand on his play his Therapist told me about the some toys on your site so i decided to buy them. My son loves them they are easy to build with and he does'nt get frustrated with them like some of the tpical blocks.

I sent this to my 2 yr old grandson who lives in Boston, therefore i have not seen it in action myself. Reports are that he loves it as does his 4 yr old sister and they enjoy playing with it together. sorry i cant be of more help on the bottom questions but i wont see it til June. It would seem from the concept that it would be most or all of those traits which is why i chose it.
