My son LOVES bugs and this is the coolest thing! He found some bugs in the house even that where hiding from the cold weather in the basement and put them in his watch! He loves it and I have hardly seen him without it, since he found it in his stocking. He tells me he can't wait for the summer--- he has many ideas!

The idea is great! However, the material the watch is made out of is pretty cheap. I ordered this and the netting had a hole in it. A replacement was sent out. The rubber band is pretty difficult to move undo and latch.

Has not been used yet, but appears to be good quality and well designed. I expect my children will enjoy them during the spring and summer.

The basic construction of the Bug Watch is fantastic. The plastic is strong, the watch band is perfect for my 6 yr olds's arm, and the mesh is secure. I love the idea of this toy. However. My only problem with the bug watch is that for a toy intend to allow a child to carry a bug around and watch it, the latch is extremely loose. I ordered this toy based on the many reviews I saw on Amazon.com extolling the virtues of this latch. They all said how secure it was, how it didn't open accidentally, that sort of thing. But I've found the exact opposite to be true. Perhaps we got a faulty one. I don't know. But if that issue were fixed, I would definitely recommend this toy to other parents of children who are interested in the world of entomology.
