I ordered this as recommended by my son's reading tutor. The more kids are exposed to words, the better. It is a great way to introduce and use common sight words as creatively as you want to. Definitely more fun than flash cards or workbook pages. Helps to start building sentences, rhyming. Kids love to make silly sentences or stories. First Words word magnets are large which makes it easy to handle. Would recommend this to enhance the reading adventures of kids.

I love this set on first words. My 4 year old couldn't wait to start saying the words. and I like the little book that comes with the words. IT gives you ideals on making poetry fun for the kids.

My 6 year old loves making silly phrases with these magnets. This toy has really motivated her to practice sounding out words, and it's helping her with sentence structure. Worth every penny!

Pieces are small and difficult for young children to manipulate. They are also thin and bend easily- a better choice would be wooden magnets, more like the Melissa and Doug letters/numbers.
Otherwise, we love the set- the words are easy to recognize and words kids use a lot.
