The Stop 'n' Go Bead Ring toddlers won't give up.
Little hands squeeze, rotate, crank, turn & pull. They open doors & make the beads-go-round! Children play & practice countless skills with the motivation of flowing beads.
The Explorer Ring works on a wide range of skills (motor skills, coordination, planning, perception, processing, and pre-academic problem solving) while encouraging tactile, auditory and visual exploration. This discovery-type learning toy even includes a game booklet so mom & dad can set up easy, medium, and challenging play options.
"Though disarmingly uncomplicated, the Explorer Ring is actually a sensorimotor tour de force for children on the autism spectrum, as it provides an engaging context for sensory awareness, gross and fine motor skill development, problem-solving, and motor planning. And, as a speech-language pathologist, I can’t help but ponder the rich, hands-on teaching opportunities for concept and vocabulary development that the Explorer Ring presents, as children investigate the many functions of this versatile, developmentally-sound learning toy."

The Explorer Ring allows children to develop and refine the small muscles of the hands. With repeated exposure, children develop generalization to accomplish small self-help milestones like squeezing toothpaste onto a toothbrush, turning on a faucet, or turning a door handle to enter a room. These small steps help children build a sense of mastery and autonomy, give them more control over their environments, and improve self esteem.

Rating:

This toy is a strictly therapy toy. Our children lost interest in this within the first 15 minutes. Our daughter, who needs a lot of fine motor skills help lost interest in it. It reminded her too much of her therapy. She wants a fun toy. This was not it.
